Clean Gluten-Free Shower Products

Today I wanted to share some good brands that carry my favorite gluten-free shower products. Before going gluten-free, my skin was a wreck. Part of it was because I didn’t really use the right products for my skin and I live in a dry environment, but I started noticing that the products I used were causing me to get rashes everyday. I looked at the ingredients and realized that almost all of my products contained gluten. It’s been three years since I switched out my products, and my skin finally feels and looks good. It’s soft and hydrated, and I don’t feel so dry and itchy that I want to crawl out of my skin. While my products need to be gluten-free, I also like to use natural products. Some of the things I use are not completely natural, but they are a lot better than what I used to use, and they work for me. I have very sensitive skin that gets very dry, especially in the winter time, so I focus a lot on keeping my skin hydrated and moisturized. I use body washes that are gentle, and hydrating. I use castile soap, because I feel like it doesn’t strip my skin of moisture, and because it’s the most natural soap you can find.

Something else I always look for, are cruelty free, and vegan products. I know not everything I use is vegan, but I always buy cruelty free products. All of the products I am sharing are not tested on animals, and almost all of them are vegan.

Not all of these brands claim to be gluten-free or to carry gluten-free products. Always check to see if these products are gluten-free before buying.

Everyone

Everyone is such a great brand. They focus on using sustainably farmed ingredients, they are cruelty free, gluten-free, non GMO, and their products are gentle. Their nourishing lavender body lotion is my favorite lotion for the summer time. It’s light, but very moisturizing, it has a nice calming scent, and it doesn’t make my skin feel like it’s going to break out in a rash.

Raw Sugar

Raw Sugar does not say that all of their products are gluten-free, but the products that I have used don’t appear to have gluten in them, and when I’ve looked it up online, I’ve seen that the products I use are gluten-free. Raw Sugar’s products are cruelty free, and don’t contain phthalates, parabens, or sulfates. My absolute favorite product from them is their body wash. I love body wash, and theirs is the best that I have ever tried. It is so gentle, and it leaves my skin feel so soft and hydrated after using it. I cannot recommend their body washes enough. I’ve only tried three different scents from them. I use the cucumber+green tea+aloe vera, the avocado+ cactus pear, and the vanilla bean+sugar. The first two smell so fresh and delicious, and they are so gentle on the skin. The vanilla bean has a delicious light vanilla scent, that isn’t too sweet. The vanilla is what I use in the winter, and I use the other two the rest of the year.

Aside from the body wash, I’ve tried their body scrubs, body butter, conditioner, and hair masques. I really like the body scrubs, and body butter. I used the pineapple+maqui berry+coconut in both of them, it is definitely my favorite scent. I wasn’t a big fan of the conditioner, it just didn’t work well for my hair, but it did smell amazing. The hair masque that I tried is one they don’t carry anymore, but I loved it.

Puracy

Puracy is such a great brand. Their products are non-toxic, hypoallergenic, child and pet safe, free of harmful chemicals, biodegradable, free from sulfates, parabens, and their bottles are recyclable. They support local artists, and donate a percentage of each purchase to families in need, and their products are made in the USA. I haven’t used many of their products, but I have tried their natural body wash in the bergamot and sandalwood scent, and their citrus and mint shampoo and conditioner. The body wash and conditioner were amazing. Sandalwood is one of my favorite scents, and this body wash was such a good mix of sandalwood and bergamot. The conditioner was light, and had a nice fresh scent. The shampoo was good, I just felt like it weighed down my hair, but I think it would be great for someone with hair that’s not as oily as mine.

Toms of Maine

Toms of Maine is a great natural brand. Toms of Maine products are not tested on animals, and they are free from artificial flavors, preservatives, fragrances, colors, and sweeteners.I use a toothpaste, mouthwash, and antiperspirant from them. All of the products I use are gluten-free. If I had to recommend anything from them, I would recommend the antiperspirant.

Dr. Bronners

I feel like just about everybody knows about Dr. Bronners, and how great they are, but I had to mention them because they are one of my favorite brands. Dr. Bronners products are vegan, cruelty free, fairtrade, non GMO, and organic. The two products I have consistently used from them for years, are their peppermint lip balm, and their castile bar soap in the citrus scent. These two products are just amazing, they both last me such a long time. The lip balm is super hydrating, and the peppermint scent isn’t overpowering. The bar soap is such a great basic soap that cleans really well, but doesn’t leave your skin dried out and tight.
