Hi guys, today I thought I would review one of my favorite book series, the Graceling series by Kristin Cashore. I have read this series about three times, and every time I read it I fall in love with it all over again. Kristin Cashore is a fantastic writer, her characters are so dynamic, and you really fall in love with all of them. All three books were equally interesting, but they became darker as time went on, which is something I love in a series.
Bitterblue was by far my favorite book out of the entire series. You can’t help but feel pity for the girl who was controlled by her cruel father, and as an adult struggles to know what is real, and what her father put in her head. Bitterblue is believably strong ,smart, and thoughtful character.
Graceling

Katsa is a Graceling, someone gifted with an extraordinary talent. Katsa’s grace is killing. She has been able to kill a man with her bare hands since she was eight years old. As niece of the king, Katsa should be living like a princess, but is instead forced by her Uncle to do his dirty work. Katsa hates killing for her Uncle, and she hates being used.
Katsa never expects to fall in love with handsome, graced Prince Po, and she never expects to learn about a secret so dark it could destroy all seven kingdoms.
Fire

Fire is a human monster. Monster’s are extraordinarily beautiful creatures who have the power to control minds. As a monster Fire is able to use mind control to her advantage, but chooses not to because she doesn’t want to become like her father Cansrel, who used his abilities for his own cruel entertainment.
As Fire struggles with being a monster, young king Nash clings to his throne as the rebel lord's Mydogg and Gentian from the North and South try to take over. Nash’s brother Brigan brings Fire to King’s City to interrogate prisoners so they can get ahead in the coming war.
Bitterblue

It’s been eight years since Bitterblue's father King Leck was killed, now Bitterblue is Queen and her kingdom is seemingly at peace.
Her father’s manic and cruel influence has left scars that run deep, Bitterblue is discovering that things are not what they seem, and that there are many disturbing secrets waiting to be uncovered. In order for Bitterblue to learn more about her kingdom, she disguises herself and sneaks out so she can learn more from the streets of her kingdom. Bitterblue realizes that after 35 years of her father’s rule things are worse than she thought and that no matter how bad they are, her father’s secrets need to be discovered before she can make her kingdom whole again.
